Foreign Investment in the Riviera Maya

The Riviera Maya has become known for being a great tourist center, which also has affluent foreign investment and has a great capacity to generate income.

The enormous growth in this area and especially in the Municipality of Solidaridad, that is Playa del Carmen and Tulum, has turned this into a demographic explosion. In a direct and proportional way to that constant investment from other countries, there are all kinds of foreign investor shares in the capital stock of Mexican Corporations, Trusts and other activities in our economy (Section II and III of Article II of the Law on Foreign Investment.)

The huge immigration activity, the constant opening of mercantile corporations, incorporation of corporations with foreign capital in a total or majority form, import and export of goods – all of these are common activities in the Riviera Maya.

Real estate transactions are strictly related to this investment flow and are the core of this growth. This is due to the high income-yield capacity these lands represent and their high commercialization. That’s what makes the Riviera Maya a great real estate destination, and not only is it equivalent to the hotel industry, but is much more.

Tourists not only come to enjoy the beauty of these natural sites, but they come back to invest, acquire, build and become part of this commercial activity in our area.

To this day, the success and increase in the real estate transactions is heading to Tulum. There are also great opportunities for foreign investment there, stemming from real estate as well as other corporate activities in the federal maritime zone to the extension of the city center, and continuing way up inland.

It’s no wonder that Mexico is reported as having one of the second most important incomes in history.
